Fabens Park, which was originally farm land, was added in 1965 and has expanded to include 9 baseball/softball fields, 5 tennis courts, 2 batting cages, nature trail, playground area, 3 shelters, picnic tables, grills, drinking fountain, concession stand and restrooms, as well as a pedestrian/biking trail.

Fabens Park was built on over 8 acres of land donated to the city of Huron in 1965 by Mrs. Rae Fabens in memory of her husband, army engineer Col. Andrew L. Fabens. In 1978 the city purchased 21.24 acres of land from George and Evelyn Staley to expand the park area.

Smaller parks include the Rotary Centennial Park, located at the entrance to the pier leading to the lighthouse and Flammond's Landing, which overlooks the Huron River. The Rotary Centennial Park was dedicated by the Huron Rotary in 2006 to commemorate their 100 years of service to the Huron community. Flammond's Landing honors the French Canadian fur trader, John Baptiste Flammond, who operated a trading post 2 miles from the mouth of the river in the early 1800s.
